Through the Internal Conferences scheduled in Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, & New Delhi, S. Jaishankar (India’s External Affairs Minister) says that the world will never suffer violence even for a second.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, PhD, is an Indian politician and the Minister of External Affairs. He was born in 1955, January 9th. He was a career diplomat, and after his retirement, he continued to serve India for more than 40 years. During his professional journey, he has been India's ambassador to different countries like China, Japan, Russia, and the USA. He is a BJP Member of Parliament and also a member of the Rajya Sabha. Foreign Secretary of India, he was from 2015 to 2018, a period he held office. Additionally, Jaishankar is a prominent figure whose views are reflected in his openly and clearly communicated written pieces that deal with topics such as geopolitical strategies, national security, and India's global interests.

The current push for “zero tolerance” started after a Red Fort car blast in Delhi & the next to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. These crises showed Jaishankar to strongly remind the global group that terrorism cannot be neglected, explained or mitigated.

S. Jaishankar Meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow as India-Russia Summit 

India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar had a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to work out the details for the India-Russia summit in New Delhi that will be attended by PM Modi. One of the points emphasised in their discussion was the close cooperation over a long period of time between the two countries. The meeting was during Jaishankar's visit to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and while India-US trade tensions were going on.

Strong Message at SCO Meeting in Moscow

Over the SCO Council of Heads of Government gathering in Moscow, Jaishankar told all member nations to together pledge to beat terrorism. He included that nations didn’t enable:

  • One-sided analysis
  • Apology
  • Or any help to terrorism 

Clearly, he mentioned that India will always secure its people and has permission to fight against terror attacks.

Calls for Reforms in the SCO

The SCO need to upgrade itself to compete with the modern global circumstances, said Jaishankar. He advised - boost infrastructure, expand the work areas of administration and handle to latest security problems quickly. He validated that India will fully support these transitions.
India-Russia Partnership Highlighted

Jaishankar visited Russia for 3 days, where he also connected with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The 2 leaders talked:

Zero Tolerance Message at East Asia Summit

At the 20th East Asia Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Jaishankar once more emphasised the global threat of terrorism. According to him, nations should collaborate and not allow any concessions in their inherent right to self-defence.

He also:

  • Supported stronger maritime cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
  • Confirmed that 2026 will be celebrated as the ASEAN-India Year of Maritime Cooperation.
  • Welcomed peace efforts in Gaza.
  • Called for an early end to the conflict in Ukraine.
  • and highlighted India’s quick help to Myanmar after the earthquake.

Support From Germany After Pahalgam Attack

While at the German Unity Day celebrations, Jaishankar said thank you to Germany for very clearly auxiliary India's right to self-defence after the Pahalgam terror attack. He went on to say that India and Germany are two democracies that not only have the same values but are also dedicated to preserving peace and security worldwide. Their collaboration in defence, clean energy, trade, and skilled labour is becoming more extensive and is allowing the two nations to fight global terrorism jointly and effectively.

Across the continents from Moscow to Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi, one message was very clear from Jaishankar:

"We should not accept any kind of terror. We should not make any excuses. We should not make any exceptions."

One by one, he called out the countries of the world to cooperate against terrorism, transform the international systems, and watch over the defenceless people everywhere. His unwavering battle for a safer and more secure world is his powerful signature.
